The Sustainable Development Goal 7 tracking report is entitled Progress towards sustainable energy; presented at the Sustainable Energy for All Forum, serves as today's overarching vision of the world's progress towards global energy goals.

These and other reasons prompted the countries of the world, including Algeria, to adopt renewable energies to win the bets of sustainable development.

This study addresses the economic and social importance of renewable energies, focusing on solar energy as an alternative strategic option for local sustainable development in Algeria, in particular strengthening local development projects and covering the local population's electricity needs.
