The cultural critics “Abdullah al-Ghathami” and “Edward Saeed” who contributed to the process of migration of the term “system” from its western anthropological reference to Arab cultural studies did not only aim to break up the dominant centralities in Arab culture and literature, but rather their efforts focused on trying to capture the implicit meaning and the “cultural pun”, as well as dismantling the parallel structures of the ready-made and finished stereotyped discourse.

we tried to trace the process of the migration of the term “system”, focusing on the efforts of “Abdullah al-Ghathami’’ and “Edward Saeed”, with the intention of revealing the referential and methodological differences between the critics, which undermine d the centrality of the cultural norms on which the “other” was founded.
