Abstract EN

This study is an attempt to attempt to root many words used in Hadhrami Arabic and to show their eloquence and to trace their history in Arabic through investigating the use of these words in the Holy Quran.

These words have been abandoned in Contemporary Standard Arabic, used in the fields of education and media to the extent that they seem to many scholars and interested people as archaic words that go deep into oddness and antiquity, and consequently they avoid using them in their speech and in their eloquent writings.

However, these words have been preserved in Hadhrami Arabic.

The researcher provided 30 words belong to this type of words showing their semantic indications in the Holy Quran , books of interpretation and he gave some examples of them from ordinary people speech and poetry from Hadhrami Arabic
