Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to examine some of the aspects on which the Arabic grammar was based.

It is the Self-Noun, as a component of the Arabic sentence.

The research tackles the divisions of noun, including the self-noun, and taking its denotation as the core and essence of this study.

To study this denotation, the research follows two (2) dimensions.

The first is the morphological level, which examines the significance of the morphological structure, its singular lexicon meaning, while the other dimension deals with: its significance in the structure of the grammatical function and its role in shaping the meaning, describing the origin of the problem surrounding the grammatical rule.

Such step made many grammarians believe in multiple declensions, or explain some of the phenomena to be in line with the theory of origin and the branch on which the Arabic grammar was based, or the truth and the metaphor of the Rhetorical Scholars, with rooting the rule of language enrichment, based on the method of syntax.

That’s why, this research comes to combine trends on the issue of meaning in composition, without being confined to the side or level of morphology, grammar, or syntax, but this study tries to link these relationships in the structure, revealing the extent of impact and the paths of those common methods that meet the theories of linguists, with their different project.

This study is composed of introduction, definition of terms, the places of self-nouns at Grammar chapters, the effect of self-noun at the rule formation, its denotation purposes, with mentioning the research results at the conclusion.
