The aim of the research is to identify family disintegration and its economic effects on the family and society.

The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the method of content analysis.

After analyzing the data and information, the research revealed a number of results: Family disintegration is a widespread problem, and it is defined as: imbalance in family functions and the collapse of the roles of its members as a result of divorce between spouses, death of one of them, or imprisonment for one of them, and that one of the most important causes of family disintegration are economic, psychological, and social causes.

Islam to family disintegration, proved many things that must be followed and examples for them, He also separated it with many evidences and proofs, including: hadiths and Quranic verses, and perhaps some of them are related to non-coercion, equality between spouses, facilitating means of litigation, and others.

There are also economic effects caused by family disintegration on the individual and society, including the following: increasing financial burdens on the wife or mother, increasing financial burdens on the husband or father, increasing financial burdens on children, and increasing financial burdens on society.

The study recommends the need to follow family counseling through the dissemination of educational clips through the media and to be aware of the great danger that disintegration poses to families in particular and to society in general.
