The importance of the current research comes in shedding light on the communication techniques in the counseling interview through verbal and non-verbal practices for their importance in the counseling process and its importance for the work of the educational counselor, without which counseling may lose one of its most important techniques and means; The current research aims to identify some of the techniques of communication in the instructive interview and is limited to the reality of verbal and non-verbal practices in it and through the following question: What is the reality of verbal and non-verbal practices in the instructive interview? Among the most important conclusions reached: The use of communication techniques, both verbal and non-verbal, by the educational counselor in the school, acquires great importance during the counseling interview; And that the educational counselors in the current research sample use verbal and non-verbal communication techniques in the informational interview appropriately.

There is also a need to pursue the scientific and technical qualification of mentors who are preparing to practice the profession of counseling, as well as mentors who actually practice the profession.
