Evoking past discourses and summoning historical figures is an artistic performance that strengthens the relationship between understanding and interpretation, and as the novel generally bears the responsibility of conveying multiple experiences that push the reader to reincarnate and live with them, they inevitably lead to different intertextualities, through which the novelist intends to wear a different dress in every act of writing he performs.

From this point of view, my research paper monitors the manifestations of intertextuality in the novel (He hides a poem in his pocket) by the novelist Moundjia Ibrahim, where the novel came in the form of a mosaic of different intertextualities.

The novelist has to portray the contradictory Arab reality.

To what extent has she been able to touch the hopes, dreams and obsessions of the Arab man? What are the prospects opened by intertextuality to the recipients of the novel?
