Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the attitudes of kindergarten and elementary schools’ principals and teachers toward the inclusion of students with disabilities in public education schools in Kuwait, inclusive of certain variables.

For the purpose of this study, a descriptive method was employed by applying a questionnaire consisting of 30 items on three subscales.

The sample consisted of 297 kindergarten and elementary principals and teachers.

For data analysis, descriptive and inferential analyses including percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one way-ANOVA were used.

The results revealed that : 1-the participants’ attitude towards the inclusion of students with disabilities was neutral ; 2- there were significant differences in the participants’ attitudes according to academic major, academic degree, and schools districts ; and 3-there were no significant differences among the participants’ attitudes toward inclusion according to gender, type of professional role, level of education, and years of experience.

In the light of these results, recommendations and suggestions were addressed and provided.
