The myths of Mesopotamia are considered one of the most important topics in this research, which deals with the causes of the spread of epidemics in this geographical area of the ancient world, and the role of deities in it, has been traced.

by researching in the myths of Mesopotamia, and the implications of the deities linked to the theme of epidemics, the fate of humans who were a source of noise, and who disturbed these deities, the latter punished them by spreading the epidemic among humans, and punished in the same way those who did not respect the texts of the agreements and treaties, and also revealed the content of the myths the cosmic surveillance for the declaration the moment of the spread of the epidemic, this study and followed by examples of the myths whose content was connected with the spread of the epidemic among the inhabitants of Mesopotamia.
