Abstract EN

The study aimed to follow the phenomenon of urban poverty as a product of social and economic phenomena, and to identify the reality of the urban poor from the point of view of social actors.

The study concluded that the causes of urban poverty, including those related to the individual, and the reasons related to social construction and other cultural, and that the poor coexist with poverty and pass between them from one generation to the other, in addition to these poor families have no strategy to get out of the situation Its poverty, because the prevailing subculture among them discourages any attempt or future perception of their situation, and the social policy of the state to fight against poverty has been represented in several programs that are implemented on the ground, but they are not sufficient due to the lack of coverage for some of them.
