Abstract EN

The aim of the current study is to identify the role of the cultural capital of the sample members in finding opportunities to join the university or find a job, and to identify the role of the information revolution and the increase in the global content of communication networks in the development of their cultural capital.

the study followed the qualitative approach with a case study of two students in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah educational district in the academic year 1442 AH.

one of them had high cultural capital and the other had low cultural capital.

the study used the interview as a tool.

the results of the study concluded that the increase in acquired and inherited cultural capital helps in increasing the chances of joining the university and facilitating access to good job opportunities.

while those with low capital should make more effort to increase their cultural capabilities.

the information revolution and the knowledge content of communication networks plays a role in influencing cultural capital and the possibility of increasing the chances of entering university or finding a job.
