Abstract EN

This study aims to determine the functional relationship between parliament and executive power, its areas of supremacy, and its reflection on parliament in the practice of legislation, the principle of separation of powers after the 2016 amendment being considered as the 'one of the fundamental guarantees of a relationship of mutual cooperation between the executive power and the legislative power, and a guarantee of the independence of parliament in the exercise of the function of legislation as an essential competence.

The study found that the practical reality of the declining role of parliament and the growing role of the executive branch proved that there are several restrictions that prevent it from practicing legislative work, especially with the participation of the President in that jurisdiction, and government interference in legislative stages, Without guarantees that limit the hegemony of executive power.
