In this paper, we look forward to developing a pragmatic approach to contemporary poetic discourse, in Muhammad al-Ash'ari poetry, taking the poem "Hourouf" as a model for the study, and examining their informative, effective, and entertaining, such as metaphor, argumentative factors, As a linguistic tool linked to the speaker's intentions and communicative contexts, Hence, the research came to address the following problem: Is it possible for the pragmatic dimension to touch the verbal event in the poem "Hourouf " and link the linguistic signs in it through its informative, effective and entertaining competencies? Was Al-Ash'ari able to convey his present emotional experience through the metaphor Formation?
