Jewish history in Iran dates back to the Babylonian captivity, the Medes, and the Achaemenids.

Despite their tiny numbers, they have had a significant impact on Iranian politics, religion, and economy.

Kashan, in comparison to other cities in Iran and other parts of the globe, has given a more favorable environment for Jews to live and prosper for generations, to the point that some Jews have dubbed Kashan "Little Jerusalem" or "The Galaxy of Jewish Scholars and Writers.

" This research looks at two ideas concerning Jewish history in Kashan: The first concept addresses the existence of Jews in Kashan following the Babylonian captivity, while the second considers their migration from Spain and other European towns, particularly during the Inquisition.

Kashan's archaeological legacy, the age of the Jewish community and their cemetery, the judeo-Kashani dialect (including Raji and Luftaii), and their oral tradition, which includes ancient terminology and language, including Medians, are the most compelling evidence for the first idea.

The accounts of Jewish and Christian travelers, as well as Muslim historians, support the second hypothesis.
