The present study examines the animal book by al-Jahiz from a semiotic perspective.

we chose this science because it studies the ways the sign works in literature and in other fields.

It helps to understand texts, formats, and verbal and non-verbal sign systems.

thus, semiotics is a general logic that accommodates all phenomena and seeks to formulate abstract rules.

as for the expansion of this science, we must clarify it through its pairing with the issue of communication that goes beyond language at the level of verification to other forms perhaps the most important of these at this level is the sign by which an animal communicates among its species.
