and this right was deserved after a great struggle by thé workers.

the weekly rest is considered among the rest approved by international conventions the worker cannot continue his work all days of the week without benefiting from a day in which he is interrupted from work until he regains some of his physical and psychological strength we find that the algerian legislator followed the example of most comparative legislation in recognizing the worker the right to a weekly rest.

however setting a day for weekly rest went through stages from determining sunday as a weekly rest to friday in this détermination social aspects of religions considération as well as economic considerations are taken into account, whether related to international transactions or meeting the nécessities of society
