The Algerian legislator did not confine endowment properties to a law regulating them for a period of approximately 27 years (from 1962 to 1989); We can call this period the stage of neglect and the ence of the legislative framework for the endowment institution; However, he corrected the situation according to Article 49 of the 1998 Constitution; Since the issuance of the 1989 constitution, the Algerian legislator has attached great importance to endowment properties and placed them in a rank that they were superior to in terms of their position on public property; This is because of its devotional religious nature, which makes it a suitable religious position.
