The legal system in Algeria has recently been supported by the issuance of Law 20-05 to prevent and combat discrimination and hate speech, given the increasing phenomenon of spreading hate speech and sowing discord among members of the same country, especially after the popular movement and during the Corona pandemic, through various traditional means such as speeches, slogans or Through electronic media such as social networking sites, with the aim of establishing the principles of peace, tolerance and brotherhood, and the rejection of violence from society, in order to create the morals of public life.

Which made us wonder about the extent of the legislature's compromise in protecting victims of discrimination and hate speech through the provisions of this Law?
