Abstract EN

In Algeria, the competition law is considered to be a clear result of the transformations that the country's economic system has undergone, as the enactment of a law regulating free market competition and controlling its rules by the legislator was not an easy task, especially since the country was adopting-before joining the market economy system-the command economy system.

although Algeria as a country took a long time to adopt a law regulating competition in the market, it is nevertheless considered to be one of the first Arab countries to take such a bold step, especially as it did not stop there, since the Algerian legislator-in an effort to keep up with the evolution of the world economy-took care to introduce the provision of the competition law, by enacting laws amending it whenever necessary.
