Abstract EN

The Hanafi sect is considered one of the four Sunni schools of thought that spread and consolidated in the Maghreb, where a group of jurists emerged during the period from (184-361 AH) in the Islamic Maghreb, influencing and being influenced by the movement of scientific and sectarian life with it, since its entry into the region, and then its wide spread during the rule al-Aghlabi of Ifriqiya in the lower Maghreb, until its presence diminished and was confined to the time of the Fatimid state and beyond, which resulted in an important sectarian and political conflict in which the Hanafi jurists participated in it on the side of the Sunnis.

the Hanafi school of thought in the Islamic Maghreb, and the efforts of its jurists to preserve it, despite the volatile political and sectarian conditions in the region, is the goal of our study.
