Abstract EN

The present work aims to demonstrate the important role played by civil society in education and awareness, to encourage citizens to participate fully in the management of public affairs, and to instil in them cultural values, which can contribute to the development of active citizenship and democratic alternation.

it also aims to determine in nature the constraints that have hindered the emergence of a participatory political culture.

the latter can contribute to the development of political participation, accelerating the process of democratic transition, encouraging the creation of civil society organizations and good democratic practices.

civil society in Algeria is in an emerging phase, interest in it, in terms of it and analysis, can help it play its role in participation in legislation and monitoring of elections and public policies.
