This study aims to monitor the opportunities available for the African economy to rise, identify the most important challenges of African development, and present proposals to overcome these obstacles, using the inductive approach.

where the study presented the developments of the global economy and their effects in Africa, as well as the development of the African economic growth rate, the most promising economies in it, and the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus crisis on it.

the study also concluded that the problem of economic vulnerability afflicting Africa, which resulted from the dependence of African economies on exporting raw materials in their raw form and importing manufactured goods, is the most important obstacle to achieving African development, and that the adoption of some macroeconomic policies that support economic stability, policies of economic openness, trade freedom and industrialization support strategies would bring about structural transformation in the African economy, diversify its sources of income, and then achieve economic development.
