Abstract EN

The main intent of the current study was to determine the effectiveness of a program based on the differentiated-teaching approach in developing intensive and extensive reading skills of secondary-school students.

In order to render such a target real, a differentiated-based program was designed including the teacher's book, and students' worksheets.

Moreover, intensive and extensive reading tests were prepared.

Sampling encompassed (30) students randomly selected out of first-year secondary-school students in Dayroot Om Nakhla Secondary School, the Educational Directorate of Mallawy, Minia.

Tests were pre-administered.

The study group studied the suggested program using the differentiated-teaching approach.

Tests were post-administered.
