The attitudes of sixth preparatory grade students in Iraq towards distance Arabic Language education during the Coronavirus crisis

Abstract EN

The present study aimed to explore the attitudes of sixth preparatory grade students in Iraq towards distance Arabic language education during the Coronavirus crisis.

To have the study’s goal met, the researcher adopted a descriptive analytical approach.

He developed a questionnaire.

He selected a random sample consisting from180 female and male sixth preparatory grade students from 9 schools in Baghdad, Iraq.

Questionnaire forms were distributed to the selected students.

172 forms were retrieved and deemed valid for analysis.

SPSS software was used for analyzing data.

It was found that the attitudes of sixth preparatory grade students in Iraq towards distance Arabic language education during the Coronavirus crisis are positive.

It was found that distance Arabic language education improves students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skill and expands students’ knowledge on Arabic language grammar.

However, respondents find it difficult to keep themselves motivated while receiving distance Arabic language education.
