Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of a proposed unit in living statistics based on a realistic learning approach in developing living statistical concepts and life problem solving skills for third-grade students in the preparatory stage.

The research materials were specified in a list of living statistical concepts, a list of life problem-solving skills, a proposed unit, and a teacher's guide for teaching it, the measurement tools consisted of testing living statistical concepts, testing life problem solving skills, and the research followed the experimental method, one group design, where a proposed unit in living statistics was designed based on the approach to realistic learning and was applied to a group of (41) third-grade students in the preparatory stage and the results of the research concluded that there is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students of the research group in the living statistical concepts test and the life problem solving skills test in the pre and post applications in favor of the post application, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed unit based on the realistic learning approach in developing living statistical concepts.
