Abstract EN

This research studies the Islamic conquest of Kourat Al-Qays, which is located in Upper Egypt.

Through this studying The researcher tries to analyze some aspects related to this area, such as the geographical description of al- qays, studying the name which it was called, the Islamic conquest of it and the role of the Muslim conqueror" Qays bin Al-Harith" in Egypt during the Islamic conquest, Then he studies the cultural aspects that Kourat Al-Qays witnessed during the Islamic era, The researcher depended on many geographical and historical sources, hadith books, biography books, and others.

These sources helped him to achieve important results some of them agreed with the historical and geographical materials, which are found in those sources, and others differed.

The researcher depended on historical evidence, using the scientific method in the study of history from narration, analysis and criticism of these sources to reach the desired results.
