Abstract EN

The current research aimed at the recognition of effectiveness of using the performance-based assessment in the development of the dimensions of mathematic proficiency, (conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic efficiency, and producing mathematic disposition) for pupils in grade five.

the research depended in its procedures on experimental design which based on two experimental groups and précised by pre and posttests.

the research sample consisted of (80) male and female students in the fifth grade in the Buhaira governorate.

the researcher prepared a test of some dimensions of mathematical proficiency, mathematical productive disposition the results of the research showed the effectiveness of using performance-based assessment in developing some dimensions of mathematical proficiency.

and it indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the mathematical proficiency test and to measure the productive mathematical tendency in favor of the experimental group students.

the results also indicated that there is a correlation between the scores of the experimental group students on each of the mathematical proficiency test and the scale of mathematical disposition produced in the post application.
