Abstract EN

The social map of the Islamic Maghreb included a group of tribes branching across its territory.

Some of them settled in their niches and some of them moved to other places under the influence of natural, , political or social conditions, from these main tribes "Sanhaja".

This study aims to trace the role of women in the Sanhaja society and to highlight their influence in governance across the various countries that followed the rule of the Maghreb in the Middle Ages, and the extent of its contribution to achieving effective solutions to family problems, consolidating political relations, and establishing security.
