Abstract EN

This study deals with the analysis and balance between the speeches of the former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (2017-2021) and the current Iranian president (2021-2024) on the issue of linguistic consistency in Iranian political discourse keeping pace with recent developments in textual linguistics and communication theory.

The concept of consistency is a semantic concept, as it tends to the existing relationships within the text that define it as a text, and it is not only at the semantic level, but is at other levels such as grammar and lexicon, and consistency refers to a set of possibilities that link two things.

Consistency elements represented in "referral, separating and connecting, lexical consistency (repetition - coherence)".

This study included an introduction and three main sections.

The first topic was entitled: Introduction to Hassan Rouhani and Ibrahim Raisi, the second topic was entitled: Discourse, its elements and forms, and finally the third topic was entitled: An applied study to analyze the Iranian presidential discourse between Rouhani and a president in the light of linguistic consistency and practicality.

Connection This study relied on the descriptive method, the comparative method, in addition to the analytical method.

To reach its desired goals by balancing the two discourses.
