The study of commercial malls is of great importance, given that it is one of the modern phenomena of retail trade.

The first commercial mall came into being in Egypt in the Cairo Governorate in 1989.

Despite the novelty of the topic, it did not receive the attention that geographers gave to other topics of modern geography.

This research aims to study the commodity and service leverage in Mall of Arabia by highlighting the mall's distribution map and those of the rest of the competing malls in 6th of October City, and to identify the qualitative composition of business and service activities in this Mall.

The present study is specifically concerned with studying the business leverage of goods and services in the Mall of Arabia to determine the most attractive to shoppers and the most powerful in terms of business leverage.

Moreover, this study focuses attention on the demographic characteristics of the mallgoers, makes clear their impact on various business activities, and scrutinises the shoppers' visiting the mall to determine its impact on increasing the purchasing power of shoppers during certain periods of the year.

Also, it examines the problems facing shoppers in different commercial sectors.

The two researchers have employed many approaches to achieve the objectives of the research, the most important of which are the inductive approach, the behavioural approach, the applied utilitarian approach, and the spatial analysis approach.

For the most part, the researchers have used the fieldwork methodology, which represents the main source of research data, and the quantitative methodology to analyse the questionnaire forms, tabulate the resulting data, and calculate percentages and correlation coefficients.

The two researchers have recorded some significant findings.

First, the Arab Mall is marked by its unique location that is close to vital roads controlling the entrances of the 6th of October City.

This has had the greatest impact in providing access for mallgoers from the 6th of October on the one hand, and from Cairo and Giza on the other.

Second, the study demonstrated the diverse commercial complex of the Mall which includes many business activities that helped increase the business leverage of the Arab Mall.

Third, the commercial activities in the Mall of Arabia vary in terms of the breadth of their regional influence, which is classified into three main categories: commodities of strong influence, commodities of moderating influence, and commodities of weak influence
