The study aims to identify the archaeological and tourism components in the Abu Simbel region and how to develop and develop them, and to exploit this important tourism component and include it within the tourist trip programs, whether it is internal or external tourism throughout the year, and to study and analyze the challenges and obstacles facing the development of sustainable tourism in the Abu Simbel region.

That there are a set of problems and obstacles that prevent the exploitation of the region towards increasing the tourist movement, such as the weakness of infrastructure services such as water, electricity and communication networks, the weakness of recreational services and restaurants, and the weakness of the possibility of the availability of a tourist information network about the region.
