Since the science of usul al-fiqh is derived from the science of theology, linguistics and legal rulings, the Arabic language was one of the tributaries of the science of principles, if it was not the only way to derive rulings; This is because the Book and the Sunnah are the source of legislation, and to them all evidences for legal rulings are returned, either directly or indirectly - their language is Arabic, and it is not possible to deal with them in research and eliciting of rulings except after identifying these specific terms and how they signify the generality of the rulings and knowledge of what is in them.
