Abstract EN

The lack of awareness of mathematics teaching strategies and their proper employment connects the teacher with the inability to achieve the strategic objectives of teaching a subject and is linked to the development of the student’s ability to think.

Therefore, the study aimed to identify the extent of mathematics teachers ’awareness of modern subject learning strategies.

To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used on a sample consisting of 60 mathematics teachers in Kuwait and the axes of the questionnaire included identifying the extent of awareness of modern mathematics education strategies and the teachers ’tendency towards it and the extent of knowledge of the advantages and possibilities of applying them to learning the material.

The study found that there is homogeneity between the sample regarding the level of awareness, first in terms of employing electronic technologies and it is necessary to develop the level of students' achievement of the subject, then it is followed by helping the blended education for the student to improve the level of motivation to learn the subject.

There was no high awareness of the application of Denise’s strategy for teaching mathematics as the results confirmed The ability of modern teaching strategies to simplify the presentation of the material for students and develop their abilities and level of self-reflection despite the different types of intelligence and finally their contribution to reaching the level of mathematical creativity.

The study also confirmed the existence of a positive trend from subject teachers towards employing these strategies in teaching from the traditional method.
