Abstract EN

In this analytical study, research sheds light on the most important semantic features of the poetry of Aqra Hamidiya Emirate poets.

This emirate lasted for four centuries, during which poets produced some poetic texts that were not studied.

Therefore, this is the first research of its kind to highlight the most important semantic features of the poetry of those poets.

Among the most prominent semantic features of the poems and verses that we have studied are those poems characterized by the al-Tathad (antagonism) style which was represented by al-Tibaq, al-Muqabala, and al-Taqabul.

Aqra Hamidiye poets were influenced by Arab-Muslim civilization’s approach to poetry.

This was evident in their poetic products, which followed the same approach as Arab poets, whether they were in the pre-Islamic era or the eras that followed.

We mention some examples of this impact in quite a few places in our research.

The second abundant feature that we found in their poetry is the characteristic of repetition, in both individual and synthetic forms, following the Arab poets’ approach in using these semantic features.

The study of the artistic features of the poetry of Aqra Hamidiya poets is based on the establishment of analytical and artistic visions that will help us to infer initial findings but not a final result.

This study will open the doors for researchers who come after to re-read and study these poems in a new critical study to come up with new results.
