Research on feminist literature has been subject to an increasing focus in contemporary studies and researches.

Such focus come to be a shift towards tracing the psychological and social manifestations of feminist writing.

This is why our interest in research in feminist autobiography was valued by its will to openness and ability to confess and to reveal the inner self.

From suffering, oppression and alienation.

And due to its distinctive declaration of protest and revolt.

A feminist biography that is comes out from psychological, mental and physical struggle.

A subjective text that draws the feminist self between fragmentation and being.

From here we highlight the importance of this research, which came to shed light on the representation of feminist writing in the autobiography between forms of identity and the formation of the self.

As for fadwa toukan’s biography, « A mountain journey, a difficult journey », it is due to the mixture that it contained between persecution and defiance, oppression and existence, as well as the call transmitted throughout the whole text to the liberation of women from all the customs and traditions that bind them.
