This research aims to semiotically approach the collection “it does not concern me much” compiled by poet Mohammed Ahmed Yaqoub.

It aims to study the patterns of signs, evidences and various symbols of the Collection to explore what is implied and highlight the multiple icons in which the poet’s experience was formulated.

The researcher selected the semiotic method to decipher the codes of the poems of this Collection depending on every sign beginning with the title, cover, and dedication.

The semiotic approach focuses on studying textual threshold as they are important signs to enter into the text world.

The research studies the semiotics of names, characters and their connotations and symbols.

The research also focused on studying the semiotics of time, place, textual space, image and colors in order to explore the dimensions of the poetic experience of the poet.
