Abstract EN

This paper entitled "The Use of Narrative speech in the Novel entitled Ancient School Festival” by Ibrahim Ishaq; the study aims to identify the writer's method of using the components of narrative discourse in the novel as well as the narrator's relation to the narrative personification and to indentify personifications used in the novel.

The paper has adopted integral descriptive approch, the stuty has reched to the most important results are: the writer used two style of direct and inderct narration in order to serve events of his novel, and recognized his narrative views and the relationship of the narrator with narrative personification appear to ues the personification of both speaker and absent, according to the participation of the narrator in the events or his followed to events ,so the presentation of the narrative point of view of the personification of speaker is different from the personification of absent; because the first speaker narrate and reflects writer’s own view while the personification of the absent its narrator follows show of characters and events objectively through his following some novel enents.
