Abstract EN

Opposition is a poetic meeting between two poets who did not associate them with time and place, but they include one emotional case producing a text that generates another case that combines novelty and similarity under the emotion of admiration.

its importance is due to the role it plays in the richness of Arab poetry and culture and its transition from the original old to the pure new.

this research aims to develop that was not required by the tradition of tradition.

and that the opposition does not indicate mere imitation, and there is nothing in it that indicates the weakness of the poet’s artistic level, nor is there any evidence that he provokes his poetic passion with those molds that appear in his poems, where he uses his artistic skills in a captivating manner.

the method that i relied on in this research is the analytical method with the technical study of the opposition poem, which proves its creative specificity, and that the phenomenon of opposition varies in the folds of the poem according to the creator’s culture.

the research proved the ability of the poet Jaber Qumaiha to simulate the absent text and excel over it in several aspects.

and the results of the research indicate that the opposition is not always an art below the creative level, and it may often be a beautiful and more creative art than the opposition poems, as we see that in the folds of the research, where the second opposition exceeded the first opposition by degrees.

and the real opponent of the art of opposition will not degrade the virtue of the previous poem.
