The research aims to identify the role of information technology in upgrading the level of recreational activities in student welfare offices, Minia University, by identifying the mechanisms of information technology in upgrading the level of recreational activities, areas of using information technology to support recreational activities in student welfare offices, aspects of applying information technology to support recreational activities In student welfare offices, obstacles to the application of information technology in supporting recreational activities in student welfare offices.

The researcher used the descriptive method (survey studies method), the research community is represented by the workers in student welfare offices at Minia University, whose number is (175) individuals, and the researcher selected the research sample by the intentional method, which is (84) individuals.

To collect data for the research, the researcher used the personal interview, a questionnaire about the role of information technology in improving the level of recreational activities in student welfare offices, Minia University.

One of the most important results was the achievement of information technology mechanisms to improve the level of recreational activities in student care offices at Minia University, and one of the most important recommendations was the necessity of activating administrative information technology systems in University institutions.
