Simon Dick's theory of functional grammar is one of semantics approach.

its main goal is to provide a grammar theory which examines structures of the human languages considering their use.

it is well-developed especially in theorization, visualization and construction.

it has followers and representatives in the both occidental and Arabic world.

one of the famous representatives in the Arabic world is professor Ahmad al-Mutawakil from Morocco who has made a great effort to introduce it and apply it to the Arabic language.

his theoretical and applied efforts contributed to the construction of what is known as: the theory of Arabic functional grammar.

in this article, we will focus on the conception of the various semantics aspects and how to represent them in the descriptive device given by Ahmad al-Mutawakil.
