Photovoltaic (PV) is achieving a considerable attention as one of most promising renewable energy alternatives.
Its performance depends mainly on the incident irradiation, ambient temperature and thermal characteristic of the PV technology.
This paper aims to develop a designing tool to size the components required for a stand-alone photovoltaic system , that will supply all electric appliances at a complex building in the Faculty of engineering technology in Hun as well as calculation of needed power production.
The Photovoltaic System (PVSYS) software as one of the commonly used software for solar systems designing, has been chosen to perform these objectives.
