Abstract EN

This paper studies the stopband attenuation for Finite Impulse Response Digital Filters using Optimal Equiripple Method.

It can be seen that the stopband attenuation is good and it has narrow transition width; these characteristics can be modified by increasing the filter order or by changing the filter specifications.

Thus the resulting filter response have ripple of equal magnitude in both passband and stopband.

Also, this method is very powerful, very flexible and offers lower filter order that meet the design specifications than the other methods.
