Abstract EN

This study seeks to show the effect of the non-seven readings on the linguistic guidance in Mughni al-Labib an kotob al-A’arib by Ibn Hisham Al-Ansari.

It tackled key pieces of evidence he employed in his guidance of the linguistic issues.

The study briefly referred to the opinions of syntacticians and interpreters in compliance with the study’s title where it tried to exclusively reflect on this book as much as possible; it could include adequate amount of the effect of these readings in terms of both interpreting and meaning.

The study arrived at Ibn Hisham's interest in Quranic readings and his reliance thereon in strengthening or weakening an issue.

Ibn Hisham's referencing methods thereof varied: sometimes he mentioned the author of the reading, and other times, he indicated that it was read without mentioning the reader, and in some issues, he cited a reading by an unknown reader, which indicates his strong interest in this science.
