Abstract EN

This study looked into the story of "The Tourist and the Goldsmith": one of the stories of the book "Kalila and Dimna", which was translated by Abdullah bin Al-Muqaffa from Persian into Arabic.

I investigated the role or narration in generating its events, and revealed the unsaid therein.

Animal storytelling does not come out of nowhere, but it, in fact, has higher goals and values it seeks to reveal and disclose.

The study relied on the narrative method.

It started with an introduction, followed by a summary of the story, then touched on the following topics: a story within a story, the narrative initiation, and the triad of narrative construction consisting of the narrator, the text and the receiver.
