Abstract EN

The study sheds light on the vocal prohibited in Arabic, an analytical phonological study; to theorize and then apply the concept of the vocal prohibited in Arabic and explain its reasons and criteria, especially its impact on preserving the identity of the Arabic language represented by the vocal aspect.

The study follows the descriptive-analytical approach, which began with a statement of the concept of the vocal prohibited, linguistically and idiomatically, and the reasons for considering linguistic sounds as prohibited ones, employing them from what was mentioned in the works of linguistics and inspecting the examined examples according to (PRAAT) software data.

Then, it was mentioned the criteria for falling into the vocal prohibited, compared with the criteria for the avoidance of the vocal prohibited.

The study concluded that the weight of the muscular effort achieved by the effect of the quality and quantity of consonants and vowels, their outputs and qualities, is the basis for the creation of the vocal prohibited.

Likewise, the convergence and divergence of the outputs get the dominance, without permanenting the formation of the vocal prohibited, in which the composing from it can’t be ignored, by considering the longer and the stronger rank of the linguistic sound, as language presents the strongest rank and the longest range.

Thus, these things can be revealed with the assistance of contemporary phonetic data, especially the analysis of the examples of vocal prohibited in the laboratory.
