Abstract EN

This paper examines the phenomenon of narration in the contemporary arabic poetry from 2000 to 2010.

it is divided into three parts: the firstpart addresses the concept of narration and the causes of its overlap with poetry and its manifestations,its effect and implication on the poem, and the changes that occur from this overlap on the general structure of the poem, alongside with the relationship with the recipient.

the second part highlights thenarrative elements that had a role in shaping the structure of the poem, activating the role of the recipient and producing implications.the last part addresses the relationship between poetry and cinema the latter's influence on structure of the poem.the study concludes a series of results, the most important of which is that the use of narrative in contemporary arabic poetry forms a phenomenon that has interacted with the poetic structure.
