Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the reality of employing YouTube in teaching physics, and the extent of awareness among physics teachers of the advantages of employing YouTube in the teaching of physics, as well as to identify the obstacles to the employment of YouTube in the teaching of physics.

The study used the descriptive method, and the questionnaire was the instrumentation used to collect data.

The questionnaire was applied to a sample of high school female physics teachers in Riyadh and the number of samples was 65 teachers.

The results of the study revealed that the physics teachers use YouTube in their teaching in a intermediate degree, and that their awareness of the advantages and positivity of using YouTube in teaching physics was high.

The most important obstacles faced when using YouTube were that the internet network is slow in most schools, and the ethical fears of using YouTube and internet in general in the classrooms.

The study recommends training teachers in using YouTube in teaching, providing Internet networks and motivating the most distinguished teachers in the use of YouTube in teaching.
