The ownership of land in Australia was on behalf of the legal fiction of terra mtlhus.

it denies the right of aboriginal people to claim ownership of the land the abongines do not farm or fence the land like the convicts once the white settlers arrived- they decided that australian land was not used and therefore- it did not belong to the indigenous people they started to scuffle for the land of australia indigenous people did not possess the land like the convict did.

the land possessed them they had a very close bond with the land; it is their home for thousands of centuries.
