Abstract EN

This study aims to explicate the Islamic rulings of relevance to impure or pure, alive or dead animal organ transplant to humans and the ruling on the prayer of the recipient of an impure animal, coinciding with recent studies have confirmation of such organ transplant procedures and humanity dire need for understanding such rulings in a time of pandemics and human transplant organs scarcity.

The present study follows a retrospective descriptive approach in tracing, collecting and classifying the core theme related issues and discussing the stances and likely rulings of people of opinion in Islamic Law on the issues under question.

This research consists of an introduction and two sections.

The first section deals with the ruling on pure animal to human organ transplant, while the second section addresses the position on impure animal to human organ donation.

It was revealed that it is permissible to avail pure as well as impure animal to human organ transplant for treatment purposes.

The study also showed that the prayer of an impure animal organ recipient' was valid in the event of ultimate necessity.
