The importance of the Arabic language lies in the fact that it has assumed a global position among languages, after which it is a link between Arab societies and a gathering of their members in one melting pot, as it is a showcase for the identity and thought of each society.

this made it face challenges, especially in the context of the hybrid linguistic phenomena posed by the era of globalization that invade all scientific fields closely related to the classical Arabic language.

and perhaps the closest field in which the Arabic language can be invested in is the media, in order to revive it among a wide segment of society, but the reality records the opposite.

Algerian media in light of openness ?.

accordingly, this research paper aims by adopting the descriptive method of analysis to highlight the status of the Arabic language in the media arena in Algeria between the reality of attempts to degrade it and the efforts made and required to protect it and impose its survival.
